    Head Coach, Junior Brakettes

    Mary was instrumental in forming the Junior Brakettes in 2019 and has been their only Head Coach, surpassing the 100-win milestone in 2023. She will again be assisted by her father, Rob Sciglimpaglia.

    Mary was a catcher for the Brakettes in 2015 and 2016 and is one of three Sciglimpaglia Brakettes, including her twin Patti (2016) and younger sister Katie, who presently plays third base for the Stratford Brakettes.

    At the University of Saint Joseph: In 2016 batted .411 in 39 games, with three homeruns, and 39 RBI . . . Played in all 33 games in 2015, 32 as a starter and showed her versatility by playing catcher, shortstop, first base and outfield. Batted .353 with 16 RBI on the season . . . Named Second Team All-GNAC in 2014 when she batted .346 with three home runs and was second on the team with 24 RBI. Played in all 34 games, 33 as a starter, allowed only six stolen bases all year from the catcher position and tied her own school record by picking off five runners . . . Played in all 42 games with 41 starts in 2013. Batted .361 (44-for-122) with 13 doubles, 24 RBI and 25 runs scored. Named GNAC Rookie of the Week April 22. Threw out 11 runners trying to steal in 2013.

    At Norwalk High School: Played softball for four years, basketball for three and soccer for two . . . All-State and All-FCIAC selection in 2012 when softball team won FCIAC Central Division title . . . National Honor Society . . . FCIAC Student-Athlete, May-June 2011, May 2012.
