    Assistant Coach, Junior Brakettes

Rob has been playing and coaching baseball and softball on a highly competitive level for 50 years. He played college baseball for Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and for the University of Connecticut, where he made All Conference and won the Coaches Award in 1985.

He started coaching baseball in 1980 as an assistant coach for the Stamford Tiny League. He also assisted at the Bobby Valentine Camps during the MLB strike year of 1982. He accepted his first head coaching role in the Stamford National Babe Ruth League in 1985. In 1986 he was named head coach of the Stamford National Babe Ruth League 13 year old All Star team. He then became player-coach of the Belmont, Prime-Time and Greenwich Teams in the Stamford Twilight League, and then with the Stamford A's and Monroe Top Hats in the Stamford Over 30 League up until 2003.

During this time, after his daughters were born in 1994, he simultaneously coached them in the Norwalk Ben Whone baseball league in 1999, and then he switched over to coach Fastpitch Softball in the Norwalk Athletic Association. He managed the travel teams, Norwalk Zoomers, Stratford Seahawks, and Xtreme Chaos from 2002 to 2018. He has been assistant coach with his daughter Mary for the Junior Brakettes since the 2019 season.

In addition to the Juniors, he has also been playing and managing the SAG-AFTRA modified pitch softball team in the Performing Arts League in Central Park since 2015.
